The North Valley Ice Bandits are excited to introduce the North Valley Premier team! The North Valley Premier team is the elite level AAA hockey team of the North Valley Ice Bandits hockey organization. The Premier team is the first elite level team offered in the Grand Forks, ND area. The Premier team is designed for players who seek a more advanced level of development with a stronger level of competitive play.

The Premier team will offer a unique and more intensive development model to promote player skill development and our team-centered culture. Our model features two weekend minicamps held in the Grand Forks, ND area. The minicamps are designed to bring our Premier players together from all corners of the region for high intensity on-ice sessions combined with off-ice instruction and training. Minicamps will include 5 hours of on-ice development time along with 5 hours of off-ice development and team building activities. Minicamps will be held in late March and early August.

In addition to the minicamps, Premier teams will compete in three elite/invite level AAA tournaments in the upper Midwest. Tournaments will be scheduled throughout the summer and will depend on the tournaments selected. Potential destinations for Premier team tournaments include Minneapolis, MN, Winnipeg, MB and other locations in the upper Midwest.

The North Valley Premier teams will be under the direction of our Director of Player Development. The Director of Player Development is a non-parent coach who will be responsible for the design and facilitation of the minicamps along with head coach responsibility at Premier team tournaments.

For the 2027 season, we will be offering Premier teams at the 2016, 2017, 2018 and 2019 age divisions. 

Tryouts for the Premier teams and our Ice Bandits teams are scheduled for September 27th, 2026. Registration will open July 1, 2026.
